WNE Law Library Research Guides: A Great Place to Begin Your Topical Research

Researching in an area of law that is new to you? Need a basic introduction to a legal topic you are researching? Consider looking at WNE Law Library's Research Guides. The Librarians have compiled numerous Guides on a wide variety of legal topics, such as International Human Rights, Bioethics, and Business Organizations. Our Research Guides are designed to help students by providing a general overview about an area of research and by organizing relevant primary and secondary sources. An increasing number of our Research Guides are in the user-friendly LibGuide format.

If you are browsing through the library stacks, you may notice signs with QR Codes for various Research Guides. These signs are located on stack ends where books on the topical areas of law are shelved, and for which we provide Research Guides. We hope this provides you with the Research Guides at your specific point of need, when you are looking for relevant topical sources.

Additionally, if you are seaching in our Encore catalog, you may find a record for a Research Guide. For example, see the below record for our International Human Rights Research Guide.

Have an idea for a new Research Guide? We are always working on creating additional Research Guides.  Please feel free to suggest your idea to a Librarian!
